If you are involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle and anyone is in need of medical attention then you should immediately call 112 for an ambulance and you also must call the police on 155.
If no medical attention is necessary then in the first instance you should immediately call the number on your 24/7 Card which is 0548 824 0724 which is a Turkish and English speaking service. This service will advise exactly what you must do and following your dealings with this service you should also inform Azant Insurance Agency on 0533 833 0841 or on 0533 829 3231. We will then help you organise any repairs necessary to your car and explain what documents is required.
If for any reason you cannot reach the service then you must call the police about the accident as a police report may be necessary to validate your claim.
Your Responsibility
You should not move your car unless the 24/7 service have told you it is ok to do so or unless the police have given you permission to do so.
If the police do have to attend then they will take your details and make a report of the accident which will be needed for the insurance company to open the claim. (Failing to call the 24/7 service and/or the police can invalidate any claim you are making)
By following these guidelines, your claim will be dealt with more quickly and by calling the police, it does not mean that you will automatically get a fine or points from them but it is a very important part of the process.
What to do in the Event of Damage to your Vehicle while Parked
If your vehicle has been damaged while at a supermarket, restaurant, bar, car park, etc, you must absolutely call the number on your 24/7 Card - 0548 824 0724 which is a Turkish and English speaking service. The 24/7 service will advise on whether you need to call the police and whether a police report is necessary. If for any reason you cannot reach the 24/7 service, you must report the damage to the police.
You should also inform Azant Insurance Agency on 0533 833 0841 or on 0533 829 3231 as we will help you organise any repairs necessary to your car and explain what documents is required. If necessary we can contact the establishment were the incident happened and get them to check the CCTV cameras if available.
No repairs should be started without the Insurance Company/ Agency approval.
What to Do in the Event of Damage to your Vehicle whilst on your own Property
If you damage your vehicle on your own property, e.g. reverse into a wall or scrape against the wall. You must absolutely call the number on your 24/7 Card - 0548 824 0724 which is a Turkish and English speaking service.The 24/7 service will advise you what to do and give you advice.

Please be aware that the police have the authority to take a breathalyser test at any time, failing a breathalyser test can result in your insurance being invalid, your licence being confiscated, a driving ban and even imprisonment. In an accident situation when you require medical treatment, the hospital also have the authority to take a blood test. Any excess alcohol or illegal substances found in your blood will invalidate your policy. You should be aware that in these situations, your passport can also be taken from you while you await a court hearing.
Also please do remember that vehicles should not be taken to any garage directly and also no repairs should be started unless approved by the Insurance Company.
